Youth Peace Ambassadors Network Poland

Youth Peace Ambassadors Network Poland is a branch of the Network of Youth Peace Ambassadors. The Network was created as a result of the 3 year long programme of the Council of Europe, that has started in 2011 and its mission is to develop a culture of peace by empowering young people, promoting human rights, dignity, equality and respect of diversity through education, advocacy and other actions.

The members of the Network come from 29 differents countries of the Council of Europe and the representative with the Polish background has establish the informal group of the YPA Network Poland.

​

 

Youth Peace Ambassadors Network Poland is the Polish informal group of young people who have been actively involved in human rights oriented actions. The activities of the group focuses on 3 main areas: human rights in general, gender equality and human rights education. As many of the members of the group have finished legal studies, we concentrate on the legal aspects of gender equality, antidiscrimination law and sexual crimes.

​

 

Our activities mostly consists of workshops with students and young lawyers presenting the legal instruments of human rights protection, antidiscrimination law, minorities rights and gender legal aspects. As a group we get involved in several actions on gender matters, such as giving legal advices for the victims of domestic violence.
