We are a no profit, independent, volunteering organization born in 1982. Our mission is to spread the culture of peace and non-violence. This means to us face all the aspects of violence:

Direct, cultural and structural and organize our efforts around 3 pillars: research (to demonstrate that non-violence can be possible, and it is not a utopia), education (to increase the number of people that know what does it mean non-violence applied to human society) and finally non-violent action (because non-violence is effective if it becomes a bottom-up programme of changing society).

CSSR has 30 years experience on research, education and action in violent situations. We have been working on mobility projects on European Level since 2014 implementing Training Courses and hosting youth exchanges and EVS volunteers in our activities in European Programmes. Our Study Center is named after Domenico Sereno Regis, a non-violent partisan during the Nazi-fascist occupation, and after the war he dedicated himself to non-violence as a form of widespread power, with a tireless community animation action, he formed the first neighbourhood committees, responding to the need to participate democratically after 20 years of fascism and war.
